BRYN MAWR — With their Jan. 5 meet against Agnes Irwin School being postponed, Germantown Academy had more time to prepare for their competition against the Baldwin School. That extra preparation showed in the final score, as the Patriots were able to defeat their opponent, 110-42.
It was a record setting day for Emma Atkinson ’20, who set the Baldwin School pool records in the 500 freestyle and the 100 backstroke. In addition to winning those events, Atkinson also took first in the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relay.
Also a part of that 200 medley was Erin Merke ’19, Alana Andress ’20 and Emily Morrissey ’19. In the 400 freestyle relay, Atkinson and Andress were joined by Caroline Osman ’18. Osman also won the 200 freestyle.
Adding to the first place finishes, Merke won the 100 freestyle, Andress won the 200 IM, Morrissey won the 50 freestyle and Riley Gobora ’18 won the 100 butterfly.
The Patriots will return to action on Jan. 10 as they take on The Hill School.
