LAWRENCEVILLE — After about a two week break, the Germantown Academy co-ed indoor track and field team was back in action on Feb. 10. The group traveled to The Lawrenceville School for the Lawrenceville Quad Meet. There was no team scoring.
Anna Hennessy ’18 finished second in the 1,600 meter run with a time of 5:26.42. In the 400-meter dash, Kelsey O’Hara ’18 took third with a time of 1:99.05. Perry Irons ’21 ran 1:06.34 which placed her 10th. Also placing third was the 4×400 meter relay team, which completed the event in 4:30.51.
A total of five athletes competed in the 200-meter dash, with Molly Oeth ’20 finishing in eighth place with a time of 28.51. Destiny Mayfield ’20, Cobree Hooper ’19, Juliana Sarisky ’19 and Irons also ran in the event.
Hooper placed ninth in the 55-meter dash by running 8.04. Mayfield (8.10) and Sarisky (8.74) took 13th and 17th, respectively. Maddie O’Hara ’19 ran the 800 meter in 2:57.08 and took 11th in the event.
In field events, Meaghan Toscano ’20 placed first in the shot put with a 37′ 8″ toss. Quartnei Brown ’21 took third in the pole vault, registering a 8′.
The boys 4×400 relay took fourth place with a time of 3:46.81. Kevin Lamb ’19 also took fourth in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.50. Matt Sandifer ’20 ran the 3,200 in 10:42.68 which placed him in fifth. Stefan Kusmirek ’18 took sixth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.48.
For the field events, Caleb Johnson ’19 placed first with a 15′ 1″ in the pole vault. Taking first in the long jump was Lamb, who jumped 20′ 7.5″. Olatide Abinusawa took second in the shot put with a throw of 53′ 4″.
